The Intangibility of the Exhibition Space as Material
The core of Samuel Mercure’s project revolves around the physical and symbolic intangibility of the exhibition space as an actual material. Using a methodology based on transfer and transformation, the artist attempts to answer the following question: how does the intangible present in the exhibition space manifest itself in the work?
Among other things, this research questions the solidity of the link between art as a practice and the spaces of its dissemination.
