MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY, A VERSATILE AND ACCESSIBLE MEDIUM!

Mobile photography (photography using a mobile device, such as a cell phone) is now part of our daily lives, and with the integration of artificial intelligence tools, it now offers an even wider range of possibilities, while remaining simple and accessible to everyone. Our approach is comprehensive and inclusive: we explore the language and creative process of artists, while mastering the basics of digital photography on mobile devices. We value the use of everyday tools and offer step-by-step guidance, respecting each person’s pace.

For this workshop designed for seniors, we focus on curiosity, the joy of creating, confidence with digital technology, socialization, and well-being. AI is introduced in a gentle and optional way to demystify these tools and use them in a simple and safe manner.

With our flexible workshops that can be adapted to various situations, we mainly target retirement homes, community centers, libraries, and senior clubs. Activities can be done sitting, in a wheelchair, or walking, indoors or outdoors, with breaks and individualized support. Contact us to discuss your environment and your goals. We will adapt the content, duration, and format to ensure a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable experience.

PERCEVOIR, A MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Mobile photography has transformed the way we see the world. Thanks to the ease of use of smartphones and tablets, anyone can explore light, textures, and shapes to create unique images.

Workshop objective

Guide participants in creating a photographic work using a mobile device (phone or tablet). The course covers shooting and transforming images with the Snapseed app. Simple AI features can be offered (e.g., suggestions for improvement, automatic tools) – always optional and without jargon.

Adapted procedure

  • Building confidence: getting to grips with the camera, accessibility settings, basic concepts (framing, lighting, point of view).
  • Gentle exploration: a short, safe walk nearby or searching for images on site (everyday objects, plants, textures, reflections, or selecting from an image bank).
  • Creation and transformation: cropping, contrast, color, black and white, filters, and simple masks in Snapseed; AI options explained step by step.
  • Sharing: mini-exhibition at the end of the session (on screen, slideshow, or small prints if desired), time for discussion and appreciation.

Possible topics

To enrich the experience, different themes can be proposed depending on the context, memories, or interests of the participants:

  • “The village of my childhood” (photo + AI)
  • “Self-portrait reinvented”
  • “Objects that tell a story”
  • “Nature and textures”
  • “Transformed memories”

Accessibility and comfort

  • No experience required. Progressive pace, clear demonstrations, individual assistance.
  • Activities that can be done while seated; compatible with wheelchairs and mobility aids.
  • Reference documents in large print; simple instructions repeated as necessary.
  • Scheduled breaks; flexible duration (60–90–120 minutes).
  • Respect for privacy and consent for all photography.
  • Equipment: Each participant uses their own phone or tablet. Wi-Fi is required for the presenter and participants.
  • In addition, the artist-animator presents his creative universe to open a window onto often unseen artistic practices, while establishing links with memory, attention to detail, and the pleasure of discovery.
