Sound Window
DESCRIPTION :
The sound showcase is a linear arrangement of 16 loudspeakers integrated into the façade of the Sporobole building. It blends into the urban landscape, running alongside a busy downtown pedestrian thoroughfare. Conceived as a platform for the projection and spatialization of sound artworks, it allows for both fixed and moving spatial compositions. As such, it offers a listening point that is either local, where passers-by are exposed to one or a few loudspeakers, or global, where passers-by are exposed to all the loudspeakers from a point further down the street. Ultimately, it’s an opportunity for Sporobole to take over the public space and offer an artistic experience within the daily routine of a sometimes unwitting audience.
