SOUND IMMERSION PLATFORM

DESIGNED BY SPOROBOLE, DÉJÀ-VU IS AN ONLINE PLATFORM FOR IMMERSIVE AND VIRTUAL SOUND WORKS.

It was created from a 3D scan of Sporobole’s outdoor space, and is reminiscent of the center’s familiar structure. The platform offers the public the chance to live or relive an experience originally conceived for the sound showcase, a 16-speaker outdoor linear device integrated into the Sporobole building. It also plays host to works created especially for this environment, which here becomes a creative medium in its own right.

By placing the question of freedom of movement in a three-dimensional visual and sound environment at the heart of the visitor’s experience, Déjà-vu aims to broaden the notions of creative and broadcasting space, while enhancing the sound works created at Sporobole and making them accessible from a distance.
