RADN – COORDINATING THE NETWORK OF DIGITAL CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AGENTS

THE PC01 CONSORTIUM, FORMED BY PROJET COLLECTIF AND SPOROBOLE, IS DELIGHTED TO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE MANDATE OF COORDINATING THE NETWORK OF DIGITAL CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AGENTS AND PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS.

radn

Created in 2019 by the ministère de la Culture et des Communications (MCC), in collaboration with the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), as part of Plan culturel numérique du Québec (PCNQ), the network brings together some 50 digital cultural development agents in 57 organizations across Quebec’s cultural milieu, with a common goal: to contribute to the cultural milieu’s digital shift.

The diversity of ideas and mandates deployed since the launch of the DNA Network (RADN) is as great as it is inspiring; from the monitoring of best practices to projects for national structures, via the standardization of digital maturity measurement. The consortium team recognizes its undeniable quality. The vision and actions proposed for the RADN in the coming months will therefore take into account all its expertise and vivacity, fostering involvement, creativity and trust between DNAs, cultural managers and other stakeholders. By remaining focused on concrete projects, documenting and showcasing the expertise developed by the community of practice, and opening up reflection to possibilities for transformation, the consortium aims to continue nurturing the fertile ground from which ideas emerge, and in which joint projects and structuring partnerships germinate (resumption of national meetings, training activities, collective worksites, monitoring, technology referral service).

To ensure impeccable coordination of the mandate, a steering committee will be formed with representatives from Projet collectif and Sporobole. This committee, made up of Maryse Gervais, Project Director, Vincent Chapdelaine, Co-General Manager of Projet collectif and Éric Desmarais, General Manager of Sporobole, will ensure that the project’s orientations are respected and that its objectives are achieved. Projet collectif and Sporobole share a deep understanding of Quebec’s cultural scene and the challenges of its digital shift, a common vision of the project and the complementary expertise required to coordinate it.

« The ADN network represents a formidable tool for supporting and accelerating the digital transformation of Quebec’s cultural milieu. Projet collectif and Sporobole will be working together to continue the work and reflect on the sustainability of digital expertise and knowledge by and for Quebec’s cultural community. »
Éric Desmarais, direction générale et codirection artistique, Sporobole

« At Projet collectif, we’re excited about this new mandate, not least because of the nature of the project, which ties in with our mission to support collaboration and the documentation of the knowledge, expertise and baggage that already accompanies the network, as well as the collaboration we’re starting with Sporobole. »
Maryse Gervais, directrice de projets, Projet collectif
