Plan MAJR
VISIT OUR WEBSITE PROJECT SUMMARY (in french only)
The PLAN MAJR is a joint initiative of 0/1 – Hub numérique Estrie and 40 cultural organizations in the Estrie region. The Regional Update (RAU) of work tools, communication methods and creative approaches is a common desire of all the organizations participating in the plan, and so it is with widespread support that 0/1 is embarking on this regional accompaniment.
PHASE 1 – DIGITAL MANAGEMENT
MAJR participants have decided they’ve had enough of post-its, document sharing problems and unmanageable e-mails. We’re helping them turn to collaboration, accessible documents everywhere, greater efficiency in general, and a healthy separation of personal and professional lives.
Here’s our game plan for them:

The participants in the MAJR plan decided it was time to take the bull by the horns and equip themselves to better promote themselves on the World Wide Web. Our goal is to make the most of the time available for digital communications. We help organizations set objectives, develop strategies and analyze the effectiveness of their actions. So let’s get the ball rolling.
PHASE 2 – Digital communications
Here’s our game plan for them:

PHASE 3 – EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CELLS
Experiential learning cells are the spearhead of the MAJR plan. It is through these working groups that 0/1 and the 40 organizations involved in the plan explore sensitive and important topics such as
Podcasting: what are the best practices? How can we put them into practice, develop regional experts and share this knowledge?
Museum databases: how can we extract data from old systems that threaten to collapse, and transfer it to more modern databases? Once data has been secured, how can it be enhanced and connected?
Digital experiences: virtual and augmented reality, applications, installations, curtains and lasers. What are the best practices, and what expertise is available in the region? This CAE aims to launch the development of new experiences and share know-how.
Digital manufacturing: does the Eastern Townships have the population base and needs to equip itself with a digital manufacturing park (3D printers, CNC, laser cutting, etc.)?
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND TRANSFER
To facilitate the transfer of knowledge acquired under the MaJR Plan, Le p’tit bonheur de Saint-Camille is documenting the digital appropriation and development experience of the 40 beneficiary organizations.

ECO-RESPONSIBILITY AND DIGITAL
0/1 – Hub numérique Estrie is collaborating with Réseau ADN’s “Ecoresponsibility” project to develop a knowledge base of the environmental impacts of digital technology, and to propose ways of mitigating these impacts.
