Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf

Trained in art history at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Marc-Antoine K. Phaneuf is an artist, writer, and exhibition curator. His works take the form of collections, inventories, and classifications, exploring both popular culture and official and marginal contemporary narratives. He has presented his artistic work in several artist-run centers, galleries, and museums across Canada, including the CLARK Center, the Musée régional de Rimouski, OPTICA (Center for Contemporary Art), the Grande Bibliothèque, Museum London, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.He is the author of several literary works, including Cavalcade en cyclorama (Le Quartanier, 2013), Le Carrousel encyclopédique des grandes vérités de la vie moderne (La Peuplade, 2020), and Mauvaises herbes (Le laps, 2023). He has also published numerous artist books, the most recent being Hockeyeurs (Musée ambulant, 2021). On stage, he has presented the illustrated lecture Fins périples dans les vaisseaux du manège global (since 2015) in Quebec and France. He lives and works in Quebec City.
