Chun Hua Catherine Dong
Chun Hua Catherine Dong (she/they) is a Chinese-born artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Dong’s work has been showcased at prominent venues and events, including the International Digital Art Biennial (BIAN) in Montreal, MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image, Mac VAL in Paris, the Quebec City Biennial, and the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art in Montreal. Dong was awarded the Franklin Furnace Award in New York in 2014, named a finalist for the Contemporary Art Award at Le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec in 2020, and received the Cultural Diversity in Visual Arts Award from the Conseil des arts de Montréal in 2021. Most recently, Dong was long-listed for the prestigious Sobey Art Award in 2024.
