Nicolas Rochette is a storyteller, artistic project developer, and co-artistic director of La Quadrature.

Since 2005, he has been creating works that challenge the very notion of storytelling, questioning the traditional theatrical forms of storytelling. He is interested in urban interventions, stealthy practices, and immersive sound works, with a focus on breaking down disciplinary barriers. He honed his craft at Péristyle Nomade, an organization dedicated to site-specific creation and alternative programming, where he served on the artistic committee. From 2008 to 2017, he was executive director of the Regroupement du conte au Québec. During his tenure, he led innovation initiatives addressing issues of diversity, training, and academic research in storytelling. In 2013, he co-founded La Quadrature, Quebec’s first organization dedicated to storytelling research and creation, focused on contemporary practices. There, he produced, among other things, some twenty audio storytelling creations distributed as podcasts.
