Moving images
Animated film is a fascinating art form that is known and loved around the world. Whether it’s classic cartoons, stop motion, or computer-generated imagery, these techniques all share one thing in common: frame-by-frame creation. For our workshop, we have chosen to focus on stop motion, or frame-by-frame animated film, a method that captures the imagination while encouraging creativity.
Our workshop is available in several formats to suit your needs. Regardless of the duration you choose, it is designed to develop a wide range of creative and educational skills while encouraging teamwork. By participating in every stage of the project, from scriptwriting to set design and filming, each student plays a key role that contributes to the collective success.
Our workshop is fully modular and customizable to suit your specific needs. Feel free to contact us to discuss your goals and work together to develop a workshop plan that’s perfect for you!
We are proud to have received the Essor Award in 2016-2017 for our project Parcours migratoire et cinéma d’animation (Migration Routes and Animated Film), carried out in collaboration with the École des Quatre-Vents school in the Sherbrooke Region School Service Center.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! MAKING ANIMATED FILMS WITH A TABLET IS POSSIBLE!

By participating in every stage of the filmmaking process step by step—from creating a script to building sets to shooting the film—students learn the basics of several mediums, such as drawing, sculpture, photography, and writing. And just like in the world of cinema, this workshop promotes teamwork!
Using a tablet and the CATEATER stop-motion animation app, students can easily create stop-motion animated films in just a few simple steps.
