An Art Hive is a community art studio that welcomes everyone as an artist.

From an art pop-up in a local library to a community studio or gallery, at its heart, an Art Hive is about inclusion, respect and learning.

It’s a welcoming place to talk, make art and build communities.

Responding in creative ways to things that matter.

LE CLUB DE DESSIN DE SHERBROOKE

The Sherbrooke Drawing Club is both an artists’ collective and a community drawing workshop. The group meets once a week in different locations to draw freely and/or collectively, each at their own pace, according to their desires and intentions. Born out of a similar group in Montreal (Club de dessin Montréal), the Sherbrooke Club has been forming and evolving by word of mouth since 2021.

The hundreds of drawings created by the club are published online and then archived in boxes according to their period of creation, leaving a trace of the act of drawing over time. The emphasis is not on the extraordinary or aesthetic aspect of the drawings, but rather on the relational bond they forge between participants, prioritizing community and the pleasure of drawing.

VIVARIUM FESTIVITIES

Sporobole’s cultural mediation team is pleased to invite you to the festive evening “Vivarium Festivities” on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Participants from the Art Hives and the Sherbrooke Drawing Club, as well as anyone else interested, are invited to join us to exchange ideas, create, sing and share a meal in a festive atmosphere.

The Vivarium aims to bring people together and foster cultural growth in a collaborative and safe environment located at the very heart of Sherbrooke.

On the evening’s program:
