Moisés Horta Valenzuela
As , Moisés Horta Valenzuela [he/him] explores the sometimes uncanny links between ancient and new technologies through a critical lens. He is a self-trained sound artist, creative technologist and electronic musician from Tijuana, México, who works in the fields of computer music, AI and the history and politics of emerging digital technologies.
His work has been presented widely: Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria); NeurIPS Machine Learning for Creativity and Design Workshop (online); MUTEK Mexico (Mexico City); Transart Festival (Bolzano, Italy); MUTEK: AI Art Lab (Montreal, Quebec); Elektron Musik Studio & KTH: Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden); CTM Festival (Berlin, Germany). He is also developing SEMILLA, an interface for interacting with generative neural sound synthesizers, and OIR, an online channel for semi-autonomous meta-DJ trained on thousands of hours of visuals and music from global electronic club music and techno.
