Marie Anne Bérard
Marie Anne Bérard is a Montreal-based composer and keyboardist. Her practice focuses on electroacoustic performance, sound installation and the use of the sound journal as a compositional method. In parallel, she is interested in the mediation of electroacoustic music. With the financial support of the Observatoire interdisciplinaire de création et de recherche en musique (OICRM) and the Observatoire des médiations culturelles (OMEC), she is currently working on a master’s degree in sound creation to develop participatory devices for the mediation of electroacoustic music with the elderly. Her performance Éphémérides (2021) received the Martin-Gotfrit-Martin-Bartlett award in the Jeu de temps/Times Play (JTTP) program.
