Mariángela Aponte Núñez

Mariángela Aponte Núñez is a transdisciplinary artist. From individual to collective creation, her practices explore the intersection of traditional media, handcrafted techniques, low-fi and inexpensive experimental electronics, and address aesthetic, environmental, social and political concerns, often through methodologies inspired by collaborative art and DIWO practices. Aponte Núñez has been an artist-in-residence with France-Colombia 2017 (La Chambre), with El Puente_lab, RESÒ 2015 (Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto) and with ELAP Prize 2012 (DFAIT, Canada); she has been co-creator of Agit P.O.V. since 2012. Her individual and collaborative projects have been presented in Cali, Bogotá, Havana, Turin, Biella, Strasbourg, Montreal, Quebec and Buenos Aires. She holds a Master’s degree in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts (UNTREF, Buenos Aires) and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Universidad del Valle, Cali).
