Khadija Aziz

Khadija Aziz is interested in creating images with textiles through various manipulations and experiments, while exploiting the ever-changing nature of fabric. Through a constant exchange between analog and digital craft processes, she explores the materiality of textiles and digital glitch. Her process-oriented practice brings together artisanal textile-making techniques and digital technologies to generate unexpected outcomes through translation, chance and distortion. She is currently pursuing an MFA at Concordia University’s Fibre & Material Practices program. In recognition of her artistic practice, she received the Shanks Memorial Award in Textiles from Craft Ontario and the Creative Promise Award from Surface Design Association in 2020.
