Jean-Maxime Dufresne

Jean-Maxime Dufresne (B. Arch. McGill /UniAndes Bogotá, M.A. Comm. UQÀM) is interested in the changes that are shaping our urban territories and their social realities. It is through actions or devices adapted to these contexts that he reconsiders the architectural process in a material production closely associated with investigative work, mainly mixing installation, video, sound and urban manoeuvres. Her individual work, in collaboration with artist Virginie Laganière or as a member of the SYN- workshop, has been presented at Skol, Optica, L’Oeil de Poisson and the Darling Foundry as well as internationally: Adaptive Actions / Madrid Abierto, Spain; Interstices urbains temporaires / RDS, ISCRA, aaaa, Paris, France; Actions: What You Can Do with the City, CCA / Graham Foundation, Chicago, Illinois. He sits on the board of directors of the Dare-Dare Centre and is involved in the educational programs of the Canadian Centre for Architecture (Montreal).
