Guillaume Cliche

Guillaume Cliche is a performer and composer of electronic and electroacoustic music living in Montreal. He is particularly interested in algorithmic writing processes in real time. He relies on strong energetic contrasts in order to provoke clear perceptual oppositions. His pieces juxtapose hard, noisy and chaotic moments with more minimalist, harmonious and hypnotic moments. Guillaume is a graduate of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and holds a Bachelors degree in Visual and Media Arts from UQAM. He is an active member of the Kohlenstoff collective and is part of the artistic committee of the Akousma festival. He is also a founding member of the following musical groups Paysage primitif, Cliche/d’Orion, Transparente and GGROUNDD. His work has been presented in several local and international events and festivals (Germany, Italy, Argentina).
