Animated film is a fascinating art form that is known and loved around the world. Whether it’s classic cartoons, stop motion<\/strong>, or computer-generated imagery, these techniques all share one thing in common: frame-by-frame creation. For our workshop, we have chosen to focus on stop motion, or frame-by-frame animated film<\/strong>, a method that captures the imagination while encouraging creativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our workshop is available in several formats to suit your needs. Regardless of the duration you choose, it is designed to develop a wide range of creative and educational skills <\/strong>while encouraging teamwork<\/strong>. By participating in every stage of the project, from scriptwriting to set design and filming, each student plays a key role that contributes to the collective success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to have received the Essor Award<\/a> in 2016-2017 for our project Parcours migratoire et cin\u00e9ma d\u2019animation<\/strong> (Migration Routes and Animated Film), carried out in collaboration with the \u00c9cole des Quatre-Vents school in the Sherbrooke Region School Service Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! MAKING ANIMATED FILMS WITH A TABLET IS POSSIBLE! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Designed as an invitation to discover the visual and cinematographic processes involved in making a film, this workshop is part of an educational approach that encourages reflection on the moving image<\/strong>. By participating in every stage of the filmmaking process step by step\u2014from creating a script to building sets to shooting the film\u2014students learn the basics of several mediums, such as drawing, sculpture, photography, and writing. And just like in the world of cinema, this workshop promotes teamwork! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using a tablet and the CATEATER stop-motion animation app<\/strong>, students can easily create stop-motion animated films in just a few simple steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshop available for primary, cycle 3 and secondary schools<\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop must be at least 3 hours long.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
