The notion of place is my main source of inspiration.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

With wide, contemplative shots, I try to create atmospheres\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

from spaces that we pass through without paying too much attention.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

I keep a certain distance from my filmed subjects,\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

preferring introspective observation.<\/i><\/p>\n

This time, in a minimalist, direct setting,\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

I engage with others. Here, immigrants<\/i><\/p>\n

taking French courses at the Centre St-Michel (Sherbrooke, Canada).<\/i><\/p>\n

A crossing of territories and cultures is implied\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

in this brief space of time between us.<\/i><\/p>\n

Waiting to be reconfigured.<\/i><\/p>\n

Filming took place in 2021 and 2023 with participants at various levels at the start of their francization process.<\/p>\n
