Sporobole <\/strong>invites you to a double event that promises to be colorful and rich in emotions!<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

First, it will be the opportunity to do an opening for A Portrait<\/em><\/strong>, <\/i>an exhibit produced with the Mitchell-Montcalm high school students, through workshops of photography and sound creation! The A Portrait <\/em>project aims to get young people to rethink the selfie. In collaboration with the Sherbrooke artist center Sporobole, Cosimu<\/a>, creator of Fonofone<\/a> digital tools, Mitchell-Montcalm high school, and with psychologist Nathalie Plaat, the project culminates in an exhibit at Sporobole of pictorial works and sounds that the teenagers have created, as well as a virtual gallery.<\/p>\n

The evening will also be marked by the launch of the artist’s book Pour toujours, mardi<\/em><\/strong> published by Folie\/Culture<\/a>!<\/p>\n

For Folie\/Culture, Tuesdays (mardi in French) are notable in their lack of spectacular events. Being timeless, they became a symbol of the current situation. Pour toujours, mardi<\/em> was born from that strange feeling of an endless nothing. How could art continue in a world like that? Well, maybe it could just carry on as though nothing had happened.<\/p>\n

This publication is the result of a pairing between artists and authors. The latter gave free rein to their unique interpretations of the artists\u2019 works, binding themselves to the manifestations of this perpetual Tuesday even as they moved away from them. The result was an atypical form of creative mediation. By acting on the artists\u2019 works, the authors gave life to new textual pieces that could be read either as a conversation with the works they discussed, or as standalone pieces. They offer potential interpretations for each project without attempting to dictate its meaning. Like the timelessness evoked by its title (\u201cForever Tuesday\u201d in English), Pour toujours, mardi<\/em> is a way of perpetuating the ephemeral nature of the projects.<\/p>\n
