Since 1995, \u00c9rick d’Orion has been an interdisciplinary audio artist who excels as a curator and sound creator. He has directed over a dozen events focused on art and sound creation, serving as the curator for Sound Installations in public spaces at the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) since 2010.<\/p>\n
Focusing his research on maximalism, he explores the boundaries of noise, musique concr\u00e8te<\/i>, free jazz, and electroacoustics. He is a member of various ensembles, including the duo morceaux_de_machines and the trio Napalm Jazz, and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Evan Parker, Martin T\u00e9treault, Otomo Yoshihide, and more.<\/p>\n
In 2009, he began a collaboration with Productions Rhizome, which continues to this day, contributing to hybrid projects combining literature and digital art. Since 2015, his collaborative practice with artist Catherine Lalonde Massecar combines sound creation, real-world practices, and clandestine dramaturgy. In the realm of cinema, he closely collaborates with artists Martin Bureau and David B. Ricard. He creates for the performing arts and regularly works with multidisciplinary director Jocelyn Pelletier and, more recently, with Peter James. His discography includes over forty albums.
