After studying photography at Concordia University, he completed a master&#8217;s degree in visual arts at UQAM. His interdisciplinary approach (sound performance, media art, installation, photography) borrows from scientific methods of data collection. He has participated in several exhibitions, performances and artistic events here and in fifteen countries: <strong>Rendre r\u00e9el<\/strong> (Ottawa, 2007, Quebec Scene); <strong>Dataesthetics<\/strong>, Nova Gallery (Zagreb, Croatia, 2006); <strong>Electromagnetic Bodies<\/strong> (ZKM, Karlsrhue, Medialab-Prado Madrid, V2, Rotterdam). In Quebec, he has exhibited at the Mus\u00e9e National des beaux-arts du Qu\u00e9bec and the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;art contemporain de Montr\u00e9al; he has also presented numerous performances, notably at Mutek and Elektra. In 2015, in addition to a solo exhibition at RadioArteMobile (Rome), Aub\u00e9 was invited by the Galerie de l&#8217;UQAM and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec to perform at the Venice Biennale.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the observation of immediate and distant environments, Jean-Pierre Aub\u00e9\u2019s works are based on the recording of natural phenomena or data concerning them using tools he develops himself (receivers, antennas).
