She is interested to the study of how instrumental, electroacoustic and computational-thinking approaches interact in music.\u00a0<\/span>Her works have been presented at various international festivals such as: L\u2019Espace du Son (Belgium), Multiphonies GRM (France), NYCEMF (USA), The Engine Room (UK), Akousma (Canada), Manca (France), SAT Symposium IX (Canada), Cube Fest (USA), Cut &amp; Splice (UK), Elektro Arts (Romania), Sincr\u00f3nic (Spain), Mantis (UK), Darmstadt Festival (Germany), Klang Copenhagen (Denmark), M\/A Intermedia (Italy), Futura (France).\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2014 she released her first solo album <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Air<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Kohlenstoff records) where she explored the hybridization of breath, voices, instruments and electronics. A few years later she released <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nano-Cosmos<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Empreintes DIGITALes), an album tribute to insects, small arthropods and microorganisms, which was featured on The Wire Tapper 47 and listed by Toneshift as people\u2019s choice best of 2018. She also collaborated on theatre, dance and film projects such as: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Habitat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Szabo), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crying in Public<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Tafel), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laborintus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Raffinot), as well as working with chamber ensembles including SuperMusique, Quasar, Ensemble AKA, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, Sixtrum, Trio Hoboken, Lunatics at Large, and TM+, where she explores the interactivity between humans and technologies to create ecosystems.\u00a0<\/span>Currently she\u2019s teaching composition at the University of Montreal and she performs regularly with her groups Jane\/KIN, IL\u00c9A and blablaTrains as an electronic musician and Theremin player.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ana Dall\u2019Ara-Majek is a composer and sound artist living in Montreal.
