Dong was awarded the Franklin Furnace Award in New York in 2014, named a finalist for the Contemporary Art Award at Le Mus\u00e9e national des beaux-arts du Qu\u00e9bec in 2020, and received the Cultural Diversity in Visual Arts Award from the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al in 2021.
