NEW FOR THE 2020-2021 SEASON!

The new season of Sporobole’s workshops is marked by the addition of a few new features that not only broadens our offer, but also adapts to the new realities of our daily lives!
First of all, we are very proud to announce our new partnerships with three well-established organizations that have extensive experience in cultural mediation: Fonofone, Loss of Signal and Trames.

These additions allow us to complete our program in music, sound creation and video mapping. Next, we are adding to our catalog the virtual version of the popular workshop Percevoir en photographie mobile, available as of November 2020.
We invite you to download and consult our partners’ detailed programs available in PDF format via the links below.

FONOFONE

COSIMU’s mission is to introduce young people to musical creation by DOING in order to develop their creativity, through creative workshops and the production of concerts where young people are paired with professional composers and performers. To this end, the organization has created the application Fonofone for iPad (and soon Androïd) which allows, in an intuitive and playful way, to explore the world of sounds in an infinite number of ways, to collectively create original musical creations and to interpret them.

The Fonofone approach responds to the three main axes of the music program: create/invent, interpret, enjoy. COSIMU is directed by the composer and pedagogue Yves Daoust. COSIMU’s artist-mediators are all creative professionals and have received adequate training for youth animation.

Écho

The first Quebec platform dedicated to documentary sound creation, Écho offers a stimulating environment to introduce young people aged 10 to 14 to the world of digital audio. Following the guidelines of the Quebec Education Program, the platform allows for the creation of original projects in the form of narrative stories or sound paths, by proposing enriching project models in each of the school subjects.

perte de signal et KidZlab

perte de signal offers two workshops in digital art for children aged 10 and up, for the cultural, educational and community sectors, in order to encourage them to experiment with the creative and imaginative potential of digital art and its variations. Facilitated by artists and mediators, these workshops allow to approach the making and the creation, while raising awareness to the apprehension of new forms of media arts such as sound art (ATGC Musique) and illusionist projection (Masking).

With these workshops, perte de signal wishes to support the access of young audiences to a digital literacy that is truly artistic, in order to equip tomorrow’s generations and renew their ways of learning new technologies. This workshop leads young users and their elders to develop a critical look at the challenges of digital technology through an autonomous approach that stimulates appropriation and experimentation.
