In this talk, critical artist and researcher Wesley Goatley will present and critique some of the existing dominant trends in AI art and design culture, exposing their relationships to the wider politics and injustices of AI, labour exploitation, and extractive capitalism. In response he will propose alternative forms of AI art practice that challenge these dominant narratives and propose more creative futures for our engagement with AI tools.
