Tanya St-Pierre

Tanya St-Pierre is a visual, sound and digital artist who creates works in various forms: performance, drawing, painting, collage, digital photography and photomontage, sculpture, installation, video art and sound art. These multiple forms are part of a more general scheme that thwarts and questions certain notions of representation and cultural artifacts. Originally from Gatineau (Canada), she currently lives and works in Sherbrooke (Canada). She obtained a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (Québec) in 1998. Recipient of grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the SODEC and the City of Sherbrooke, her work has been presented in various exhibitions and events in Canada, Mexico, Morocco, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Some projects have been realized during artist residencies in the United States, Quebec, Canada and Mexico. Member of the performance duo NOÏZEFER CWU, she has participated in various events of action art (performance), experimental electronic music and digital arts.
