Geneviève Chevalier

Geneviève Chevalier is an artist in media and visual arts, an independent curator, and a professor at the School of Art of Laval University in Québec City. She holds a PhD in Art Theory and Practice from the Université du Québec à Montréal and an MFA from Concordia University. She was an artist in residence at the Québec’s studio in London, in 2020; at Sporobolecentre in Sherbrooke, in 2018; the Centre for Contemporary Arts of Glasgow, in 2017; the Banff Centre, Alberta and the Vermont Studio Centre. Her work was presented in 2018 at the Musée régional de Rimouski and Optica, contemporary art centre, Montréal; at the Symposium international d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul in 2016; at the Musée de Lachine, Montréal, in 2015; at La Chambre Blanche, Québec City, as part of the Manif d’art 7 and at the Thames Art Gallery, Chatham, Ontario, in 2014.
