France Jobin is a Montreal-based audio artist and film composer. Her work, described as “sound sculpture”, is distinguished by a minimalist aesthetic that explores complex sonic environments, somewhere between analog and digital. Her installations integrate visual and musical elements inspired by the architecture of the site, and are often presented in unconventional spaces and international festivals.

She has released numerous albums on renowned labels such as LINE, ROOM40, Editions Mego and ATAK. Her music plays on contrasts – between restraint and extremes, silences and amplitudes – creating an immersive listening experience that disrupts reference points.Since 2008, quantum physics has had a profound influence on her approach. In 2021, she and Markus Heckmann initiated the Entanglement series with a AV version at MUTEK. This was followed by Entanglement XR (2022) and Entanglement dome, created in 2023 at SAT. The pandemic offered her precious time to deepen her scientific and artistic research.
