Erik Beck
A bachelor in visual arts from Concordia University, Erik Beck first expressed his creativity through music. Although he has focused on photography and sculpture, he has produced some sound installations and performances. Trained at the film school, he forged a visual language that is still recognizable today. Always eager to transgress established codes, he turned to digital art, a practice through which he better perceives the challenges of current creation. A founding member of the Mobile Art Movement (MAM), he has had several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Quebec, the United States and Europe. He is responsible for youth creation workshops at Sporobole.
