Christopher Varady-Szabo
Born in Sydney, Australia, Christopher Varady-Szabo has been living in Gaspé (Québec) for over thirty years. After studying architecture for a year at the University of New South Wales, he completed undergraduate studies in Visual Arts at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 1990 and a Masters Degree in Visual Arts from the University of Ottawa in 2013. His work has been presented in Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Switzerland, Finland, France, Belgium, Poland and Taiwan. He has been awarded several grants by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ). He has been involved with the artist run centre Vaste et Vague in the Gaspé since its opening and presently serves on the Board of Directors.
